This is the Three Mile Island Nuclear Power
Plant near Harrisburg, Pa. Yes, you've heard of it, it is, (to this day)
the only Nuclear power plant in the US to (almost) go China Syndrome. It
happened back in the late seventies. Pretty big deal I guess.
Not much to say about the shot beyond the obvious, Naomi, (the model), set out that day to do a nude with TMI in the background. It was surprising, actually, how easy it was to get close enough to it to photograph the plant, with a long lens I could have been right on top of it. I remember thinking it should have been harder than it was. I think it's a nice shot, very central Pennsylvania. ~scottchurch December 10, 2008 |
